Saturday morning
Teddy and I woke up, had breakfast, and went for a walk through Prospect Park which has the last natural forest in Brooklyn. We examined the different types of trees and read about the characteristics unique to each type. Later we walked through the farmers market, and I wished I was with Mom, who would have loved it.

very short poems
Ambition
We sat at the table with all we knew and without all we wanted.
Simplicity
We sat at the table without the extraneous.
Desire
We sat at the table with nothing so we looked into each other’s eyes.
Hatred
We sat at the table with fear so we fed it, and we fed it more.
Mischief
We sat at the table and schemed.
